What is eNPS (employee Net Promoter Score)?

Also known as: eNPS.

Employee Net Promoter Score, or eNPS, is a single-number read on how likely employees are to recommend their workplace, calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters on a zero-to-ten recommendation question.

Respondents are grouped by their score: promoters at nine or ten, passives at seven or eight, detractors at six or below. The eNPS is the promoter percentage minus the detractor percentage, which can run from minus one hundred to plus one hundred.

It is a blunt but cheap pulse that is most useful tracked over time against itself, not against a borrowed benchmark. A calculator turns your own promoter, passive and detractor counts into the score and shows the working.
